Spotted it on the side of the road.
Looked at price tag. Fell in love.
She
is my first 4x4 ever, and we've been
through a lot together.
Ask me about
the fire water incident...
Bought her
with a mallory unilite dizzy, which
promptly took a ****. Put a new module in
it, which also quickly died. Next came a
good, old, reliable points system.
Shortly after that I shredded a
radiator, which was replaced with a 2-core
autozone jobby.
A while later, I
found out that I had a leaky fuel line and
the insulation on my spark plug wires
wasn't in good shape... both these
discoveries were made at the same time...
:D
After rebuilding from that incident,
I have re-wired under the hood, ripped out
the heater, put on new tires, upgraded to
a motorcraft/HEI hybrid electronic
ignition setup, and put on a Motorcraft
2100 carburetor... still working out the
bugs on the carb.
It's been a fun,
learning experience... Wouldn't trade her
for a pile of cash...
Ok,
well, maybe a really big one...

For those of you who may have been wondering, the
picture on my profile where my '5 is all flexxed out...
yeah... i was actually stuck.
I get the axles twisted up and at a certain point, the
clutch will no longer disengage, and it just so happens
that the point where this occurs is also the point
where my tires lose traction.
So.... yeah. I'm thinking hydraulic clutch
conversion......
