I bought my Jeep brand new from the
military dealership while stationed in
Giessen Germany. I picked it up from the
port in Bremerhaven with 4 miles on it.
Drove it for about 2 years before being
transfered back to the U.S. to Dallas
Texas. Drove it several times through
checkpoints Alpha, Bravo and Charlie
through East Germany and into East Berlin
(this was long before the Wall came down).
I picked up my Scrambler in Houston and
drove it back to Dallas/Fort Worth where I
and my Jeep have lived ever since. While
I was still working I drove a small car to
work every day so my Jeep got a lot of
rest so now at 28 years old it still only
has 84000 original miles. Now retired I
drive it as my everyday vehicle, just
cause I think so highly of it. It has
never let me down!
