JEEP HISTORY
My cousins always had Jeeps of some sort
when I was growing up. My Dad had a
Willys flat fender for a while and my
stepfather and a family friend each had
J-Trucks. My first cousin has been
building serious Jeeps for 20 years or so
and has been featured in several
magazines. He currently has a Scrambler
buggy on Rockwells and my uncle has a
custom-framed flat fender with a 4.3 on
Scout axles. I bought my first Jeep
around 1994. It was an '85 CJ-7 with
chrome and not much else. I modified it
as time and money would allow. By the
time I sold it in 2005, it was on 33s with
lockers (hence the user name), Warn 8274,
TJ flares, 4.0L, NP435 and too much other
stuff to list. I've briefly owned two
'77 J-trucks, two GW parts donors, a
Willys Wagon and a '77 CJ7. Some of those
projects never got off the ground and I
didn't finish the last one. My current
Jeep is another '85 CJ7.
