I bought my Grand Cherokee after dealing
with a dealership that was trying to sell
me a 2004 GC for 12,000.00. I was able to
find my 1999 GC for 4,000.00 and still
walk away from the 2004 with no
obligations to the dealership. The '99
has all of the extras that the '04 didn't.
I have over 270,000 miles on this
vehicle. I've had it for three years and
I'm just now starting to deal with the
more common issues that arise with this
model. I've just replaced my tail lights
after getting tired of tinkering with
faulty brake lights. I just recently
replaced my oil pan, I need a brake job,
but I'm not going to the dealership for
that. I'm having my axle (or
bearing)fixed tomorrow, and I need new
head lights. My door quacks at me when I
hit the automatic locks, the lifts on my
hood don't work (I ordered those today),
sometimes when I use the key to unlock the
door the alarm goes off. I've replaced 2
fan relays, and my dashboard speakers. I
enjoy riding my jeep around my property
and am seriously thinking about having my
Jeep lifted a couple of inches because
there's this stump in the back that I
wasn't able to clear over the weekend. I
love my Jeep.
