JEEP HISTORY
This is my third Jeep. I bought my first
CJ when I was 17 in high school. It was
in pretty bad shape when I got it but with
the help of some friends it was the
coolest vehicle at the school. We used to
wheel every weekend, and just have a blast
with it. I sold that one when I went to
college and bought my second one before I
went into the Navy. I upgraded and
wheeled it for a year before I left for
europe, and then it sat for three years.
I drove it for a couple years when I got
out and then I lost my job and needed
money. Needless to say I had to sell my
baby. I'm still not financially stable so
this time I'm building one from the ground
up. I bought my 74 on ebay for $500. I
have been working on it since September
and it's starting to resemble an off road
vehicle. Mechanically it wasn't in bad
shape, except the carb had a crack in it
and I had to weld it before it would run.
Now I'm in the process of finding the
parts I need cheap enough that I can get
them.
