My father drove a CJ or two when I was a
kid which started me down this road.
I
drove a late 70's CJ5 when I was in my
late teens until I put a hole in the oil
pan and threw a rod. 20 some odd years
later I bought a 2006 Rubicon Unlimited,
put 496 miles on it and buried it up to
the top of the fenders in a mud hole on
Windrock Mountain in East Tennessee. That
one cost me a clutch, pressure plate,
throw out bearing, starter and flushing
out of the diffs. Ain't life grand?!?!?!?
It also taught me that what the dealer
says and what they and Chrysler actually
do is not always the same thing. Email me
if you are curious and I will tell you
more. For now I am happy with what I have
and am slowly adding parts and pieces to
make it more off road capable.
