i used to have a dana 35 axle which should
not have ever been put under a jk. I broke
the carrier assembly the first week i got
the jeep. I had it replaced, and then
stripped the spider gears about 4 weeks
after that. I had just the gears replaced,
then they stripped the third time so i
decided to weld the gears. After about a
month after welding, i broke the welds and
a spider gear snapped in half. I just
stuck everything back in and welded it
again. It held up for about 2 crawls then
snapped the carrier again. I decided to
get a dana 44 after all this. Im going to
put a detroit locker in the rear and an
e-locker in the front. I hope to transform
it into a buggy-jeep.
