JEEP HISTORY
As a long time Landcruiser lover with
Maine Cabin Fever, I was reduced to
trolling craigslist and the local
classifieds looking for a project. I have
also been fond of the old Jeepsters and
Commandos so I spent some time looking up
those as well, not really thinking I would
go that way. I then saw an advert
featuring "1973 Jeep Wrangla (sp),
upgraded, some good.. some bad."
" THIS JEEP HAS HAD LOT OF UP GRADES
SOME GOOD SOME NOT SO GOOD 6 CYL 5 SPEED
4X4 DUEL EXHAUST SOFT TOP IS IN VERY GOOD
CONDITION SO ARE THE DOORS PLUS HAVE EXTRA
SOFT DOORS NO FULL DOORS OR HARD
TOP-----GOOD TIRES ON RUSTED CROME
WHEELS--- ELECTRIC LEATHER SEATS FROM
CADILAC FRAME LOOKS TO BE DECENT NO
CURRENT STICKER CAN BE REGISTERD AS
ANTIQUE IF YOU ARE LOOKING A LIKE NEW JEEP
--------- DONT CALL ME-------- FOR THOSE
WHO KNOW A 30 YEAR JEEP CALL XXXXXXXXXX
------------ NO EMAILS PS.THE IS LONGER
THAN A REGULAR JEEP BODY ========= I.AM
NOT AN EXPERT THIS MAY HAVE BEEN A
SCRAMBLER EDTION " I drove down to
look at it based on the
"scrambler" reference and was
shocked to see that it was in fact a 6.
He said the brakes didn't work and
that the guy who owned it did lots of
things to it. So it was sold as a
nonworking vehicle. I drove it around his
yard and confirmed that it runs and
drives. Needs break work and some body
rust. But it is a six and it is one of
only 1,720 produced in 1973. It now
resides in my yard and will be slowly
broken down into bits cleaned and
reassembled, knowing that as Indiana Jones
says, "It belongs in a museum!"
