I wanted a jeep since I was a kid, I hadnt
riden in one until I was about 17 when my
friend and I borrowed his dads friends
1979 to go to the big buck contest being
held at the junction ( its a bar/ store/
pool table located at the mid way point
between livermore and san jose on mt
hamilton) well we froze our butts off and
I couldnt have been happier.After a few
failed atempts to buy local jeeps for the
next few years I gave up, until about 7
years ago my wife and I came accross a 95
4 cylinder auto rio grande edition, power
steering cloth everything but the hardtop.
we bought it, but the jeep I really wanted
was sitting in the feild on highway
26,shortley after buying the 95 the one I
wanted got a for sale sign in the window
and I had to have it, it was a 1994 yj 4
cyl manual 4 inch lift with 33s, we sold
the 95 after 3 years ( I let my wife drive
it when we would go camping but that was
the only time it ever got driven) and now
my time is spent wheeling with friends, I
would be out every weekend if I could but
I would my wife cant take that much
wheeling. I have added only the basics to
my 94 since I have had it, driving
lights,speakers/ sound bar, replaced the
crappy dc's with mastercraft m/s,cd player
and my wife bought me a winch for my
birthda this year, removed the swaybar and
track bars, shortend the exhaust well
thats about it, for now.
