JEEP HISTORY
my first vehicle was a 1984 Jeep Cherokee
Wagoneer (XJ) (converted to normal
cherokee styling using pioneer header
panel to get rid of 4 headlight
configuration) W/ 2.5L 1bbl, later changed
to a chevrolet 4.3 W/3.8 (229) heads,
edelbrock per4mer intake/cam, holly 500cfm
vac/sec 4bbl carb, true dual 2.5" ID
exhaust and cherrybomb glasspack mufflers,
4 inch rancho lift, 32x11.50R15 Maxis
Buckshot M/T (which i regret ever having
to sell), my second jeep was a '95 grand
cherokee, 5.2L V8, mostly stock, exhaust
rotted out and replaced with Ford (OEM
Mustang) Hi-Flo cat, Cherrybomb Glasspack
muffler on stock 2.5" ID exhaust (it
was that way when i got the jeep) (HIT A
DEER IN TEXAS, Rolled 3 times, jeep was
total loss, and cost too much to haul
back, sold it for scrap), my current jeep
is an '88 XJ Pioneer, slightly modified
Renix-Era 4.0, rebuilt exhaust
(cat-deleted by previous owner) Thrush
26" glass pack muffler, relocated
IAT, Mechanical fan delete (E-fan swap),
TorqFlow dual fan controller (OEM unit was
in a bad place and never turned the stock
e-Fan on untill the rig was boiling over)
converted from Closed to Open cooling
system using radiator for '95 H/O XJ,
(Modine ThermoBuster 3-row), Ramsey 8500lb
REP 8.5i winch, soon to be dual-battery
setup, 4.5" RC SA lift, 32x11.50R15LT
Maxis BigHorn M/T, i've always worked on
jeeps with my dad, and with friends,
started building jeeps when i was about
14, helped my dad build an '89 XJ with
Renix 4.0, swapped in a later model
engine, did the SRT4 neon injector upgrade
and a few odds-and-ends, we had a set of i
believe 30 or 31inch ATs under it with a
3.5inch lift, i ended up with the '84....
big fuel tank, tiny engine..... anyways,
kind of a lengthy way of putting it, but
thats how i got my start, 73s
