JEEP HISTORY
Loved them as a kid, but was always told
that they were too impractical. Bought
one at my first chance and had it longer
than any other vehicle. Was a '99 TJ
Sport, heavily modified with mostly
cosmetic "upgrades" that started
causing problems shortly after I bought
it. Replaced the "suspension
lift" with a Rubicon Express
4.5" Extreme Long Arm suspension
along with the required drive train
modifications, and a few minor performance
upgrades. The engine finally blew while I
was living in Alaska, and I had to leave
AK for a family emergency, leaving the
Jeep behind, too. Bought a '98 Grand
Cherokee 5.9L Limited with a lot of needed
TLC. Gave that to a friend that needed a
reliable vehicle and had the time to put
into it. Now I have another TJ, virgin
this time. No modifications yet, but
graduation is right around the corner, and
I am hoping to have the available funds
and time to start tinkering again. Since
it's virgin, I am looking forward to
modifying it correctly as I have the time,
rather than upgrading as things break.
