ABOUT ME
I'm working at an auto parts store and enjoying it because of the random nature of customer problems that really makes me think. I will be going back to school part-time online while I work to finish my IT degree and figure out a "normal" career from there. I've been single for a while and enjoy having the time to tinker with the Jeeps and sorely improve things.

JEEP HISTORY
In about 2013 or so, I traded a 2001 Honda
CBR 600F4i for a 94 Grand with the v8 in
it and I immediately fell in love with my
"new" jeep and did a lot of work
on it, restoring it by replacing old worn
out parts as needed and upgrading at the
same time. When I first made the
trade and drove the old heep home, the
front passenger tire was chewed down to
the steel belt, the radio wasn't working
and there were a myriad of other small
issues with the thing, including a miss
when idling, so I knew I had my work cut
out for me. It wasn't long before I
started making minor upgrades to the jeep
in addition to replacing nearly every
sensor under the hood. I installed better
injectors (710's), added an efan with a
sensor so it's all automatic, upgraded
battery cables, installed auxiliary power
distribution center on driver's side and
removed the factory airbox to install a
c.a.i. under the cowl on the passenger
side. In the end, I traded that heep
for another motorcycle after the
transmission went out. I took it out and
got a replacement from the yard out of a
crashed Jeep and straight traded it again.
I was happy with the motorcycle I got for
it, but soon missed the old heep. Fast
forward until recently, and I have a
"new" '05 Liberty that I got for
400 bucks from a friend's sister because
the dome light shorted out and burnt the
headliner. I have replaced the front
brakes, done some wiring and other stuff
to fix the radio and key fob not working
(the burnt wiring blew a fuse and as soon
as I terminated that and put a new fuse
in, it worked great!). I replaced the
spark plugs and cleaned the pcv valve,
completely removed the parking brake shoes
and all the hardware because it was
disintegrated and making a lot of noise. I
turned the rear rotors and installed new
ones for the front, and installed a
swapped light switch/turn signal combo
unit to get my fog lights working again.
So far, I've still got the normal
Goodyear Wrangler street tires on her, but
I'll get some better ones eventually. I'm
looking at getting a Yukon that's already
lifted and has good tires on it so I don't
have to do too much with the Jeep right
now. She makes a pretty good daily driver
for me. I have a spare Jeep Liberty
right now that is only two years older and
I'm sorry working on getting good parts to
swap and thinking about either letting
that one go to trade it for a bike or just
keeping her around for spare parts. I'll
be in a better place to decide when I get
that Yukon so I at least have a second
vehicle to get around in while I'm
swapping parts back and forth on the
liberties. I really love the Liberty for
what it is and she's been a good vehicle
for me.
