JEEP HISTORY
This is my first Yeep. I purchased it off
of Craigslist for 1500 dollars. With 188k,
5000 dollars worth of receipts for work
done on the vehicle. It was a single owner
vehicle from day one till about a week
before I bought it off a nice young man at
the ripe age of 19 years old. He bought
it, drove it unregistered for a week and
beat the bag out of it. Stuffed the front
end, needed bumper, fender, headlight,
header panel and trim. Also submerged it
enough to ruin the carpets, so it smelled
like a salt marsh. And the exhaust was
broken off at the trans case skid plate
hanger location. Of course when he told me
that the 4x4 did not work I had to see for
myself. So i hopped in, started it up,
sounded like a 350 merc jet boat. All of
this was going on in Woonsocket RI at
11pm. I casually slipped it into four
wheel drive and realized he is dead wrong.
The best part is that from an outside
standing point there is not a spot of rust
on this whole vehicle. The full set of
brand new Yoko Geolander tires, and the
brand new brake job. The previous owner
was from Central FL. I quickly offered 500
less than what he had asked for, he signed
the title and the scary, loud,
investigative, unregistered and exciting
ride home was a proud one. I still
consider myself a noob but have learned a
lot in the last 3 years. And we are now up
to 260k With no more than 2k in repairs. I
love my jeep for life. I love how my 3
year old son loves it too. We hit the
trails every weekend at least for a few
minutes. "The big hills in the woods
daddy"
