JEEP HISTORY
I got introduced to Jeeps by my
girlfriend. She hates to get stuck in the
snow so she bought a 92 Cherokee many
years ago. A few years later she got a
2002 Grand Cherokee. I am her mechanic
and usually a GM guy driving Cadillacs and
square body trucks. I came to appreciate
the simplicity of working on Jeeps like I
do with GM. I also liked the soft
Cadillac ride of a Grand Cherokee. I love
a good all wheel drive vehicle in the snow
and GM didn't make one for years. Driving
a soft riding Grand Cherokee in full time
4 wheel drive through 12 - 16 inches of
snow is as effortless and comfortable as
it gets. I had to have one. I finally
bought my first WJ Grand Cherokee last
week and it's dirty and rough but it's a
solid old girl. The first thing I noticed
on the drive home was the rear end
wandering around and scaring the crap out
of me. My gf's never did that. I have a
little work to do but I plan on enjoying
this Grand Cherokee for a few winters.
